About The Position

Flair Airlines is seeking a Digital Product Manager to join their Digital team. This role is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, and continuous improvement of digital products and operational technology platforms, with a primary focus on the Airline Choice (Aptaero) Departure Control System (DCS). The Digital Product Manager will develop and execute the digital product roadmap, lead technology initiatives, manage system enhancements, and ensure digital solutions align with operational efficiency, commercial objectives, regulatory compliance, and customer experience goals. This position involves close collaboration with various internal teams (Airports, Ground Operations, Commercial, Revenue Management, IT) and external technology partners to deliver scalable, customer-focused technology solutions from concept to implementation. The role acts as the business owner for core operational systems, driving product performance, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in digital product management, technology strategy, business systems, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex digital products or enterprise technology platforms from concept through implementation.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to align technical capabilities with business priorities.
  • Experience managing third-party technology vendors, including service delivery, release management, support escalations, and product roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of digital product lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, product roadmaps, prioritization, and performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product design principles, and customer experience optimization.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate operational requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting or managing a Departure Control System (DCS) platform (e.g., Airline Choice/Aptaero, Navitaire, SITA, or similar) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with airport passenger processing, including check-in, boarding, baggage reconciliation, or ground handling operations, is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in the airline, aviation, travel, transportation, e-commerce, payments, or other technology-driven industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IATA standards and regulatory requirements, including APIS, Secure Flight, and IATA Resolution 753, is considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of airport technology, self-service solutions, and passenger processing systems, including kiosks, mobile check-in devices, and boarding pass or bag tag printers.
  • Understanding of ancillary revenue products and digital retail capabilities within a Departure Control System (DCS) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction for digital business systems by developing and maintaining a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and operational requirements.
  • Lead the planning, prioritization, allocation, and delivery of technology projects, providing direction to project managers and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary business owner for the Airline Choice (Aptaero) Departure Control System (DCS), overseeing system configuration, administration, and continuous optimization, including user roles, station parameters, delay codes, messaging, and business rules.
  • Lead the deployment and implementation of Airline Choice across new and existing stations, including system configuration, hardware coordination, user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, training, and production readiness.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Aptaero and other technology vendors, managing platform support, service performance, release management, issue resolution, contract relationships, and product roadmap planning.
  • Collaborate with Airports, Ground Operations, Revenue Management, Commercial, and IT teams to ensure digital solutions support operational efficiency, commercial objectives, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
  • Define and prioritize product enhancements based on business value, customer needs, operational requirements, and technical feasibility.
  • Monitor product performance, system reliability, and user feedback to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Configure and optimize digital retail capabilities within the DCS, including ancillary products, seat selection, baggage, upgrades, and other airport point-of-sale offerings.
  • Ensure all digital products comply with applicable regulatory, security, data governance, and IATA requirements, including APIS/Secure Flight, baggage tracking, and government reporting obligations.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, system documentation, and training materials to support standardized business processes and effective user adoption.
  • Foster collaboration across business units by serving as the primary link between operational stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to ensure digital solutions align with business needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
