About The Position

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for understanding and following cutting specifications by reviewing job jackets and printed work. The role cuts printed stock to the required dimensions, operates cutting machines for detailed custom cuts, and ensures high-quality work that meets standards before it moves to the next workstation. The operator may perform other duties as assigned, including supporting other departments.

Requirements

Be highly organized and attentive to detail.
Manage large workloads while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Meet deadlines and mitigate workflow disruptions.
Have basic math knowledge, including fractions and percentages.
Pass a basic skills test.
Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license or be able to obtain one for forklift certification, as required by site expectations.
Be available for weekend shifts and overtime as required.
Work safely and maintain safety awareness.
Work alone and under minimal supervision.
Use creative solutions when needed.
Work well on a team and contribute positively to the company culture.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of experience with Digital Press machines; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Take printed stock and cut it to the dimensions specified on the production order.
Operate cutting machines to make detailed custom cuts for different types of printed stock.
Read work orders and verify that required fabrication has been completed before beginning cutting.
Cut work according to priorities set by leadership.
Report signage issues to management.
Report machine-operation problems to management and/or maintenance.
Maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
Use a forklift as required by site expectations.
Perform other assigned duties, including supporting other departments.
