About The Position

A career in the Government and Public Sector (G&PS) Operations and Procurement (Ops & Proc) team within the Consulting Practice offers a dynamic environment that adapts to the evolving needs of the public sector, while upholding principles of transparency, compliance, and efficiency. The Operations & Procurement team assists government and public sector organizations with business transformation initiatives, bridging the gap between business and technology. Key service offerings include digital and operations transformations (design and execution), service delivery and program excellence (aligning services and programs to strategy for performance and outcomes), and productivity and operations optimization (unlocking efficiencies, clearing bottlenecks, and optimizing costs). Consultants play a pivotal role in driving positive change to improve services for citizens. As a Government and Public Sector Operations, Manager, you will drive meaningful outcomes, lead teams, deliver exceptional consulting services, and contribute to the firm's growth. This role requires an understanding of government structures, stakeholder interplay, and public sector strategy development and execution.

Requirements

Around 10 years' experience with project-based work in the public sector OR exposure to a consulting environment.
Experience in management or operations consulting in the government and public sector industry.
Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor, and understanding their strategic priorities and operational challenges.
Hands on experience implementing SaaS solutions in a complex public sector environment.
Experience leading elements of technology-enabled business transformations, either from a program management, operating model and organizational design, service delivery model, or business architecture perspective.
Experience applying process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
Experience leading business development activities including proposal responses and the design of tailored approaches and methodologies for solving important client problems and/or targeting new clients.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams to deliver sustained outcomes and design and implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
Experience contributing to the development of thought leadership including whitepapers, articles, and presentation to drive client engagement.
Experience mentoring and supporting development of junior team members through professional development planning and fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Analytical thinking skills and ability produce high quality deliverables that create sustainable value.

Nice To Haves

PMP, CSM, CBAP, CMC and Six Lean Six Sigma certifications are considered an asset.
Masters or MBA is an asset.
Strong data modeling and visualization skills, including knowledge and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, etc., is considered a strong asset.
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and process efficiency, as well as exploring ways to embed the use of AI into both internal and client processes.

Supervise, mentor, coach, motivate junior consultants within the firm and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development.
Plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
Deliver high-quality recommendations and actionable insights.
Delegate tasks, set objectives, and provide guidance for the team to achieve project goals.

Demonstrate breadth of experience and knowledge of the PwC brand, the government and public sector industry and the G&PS Ops & Proc service offerings and start to specialize in one or more areas.
Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
Support pursuits and development of proposal content.
