About The Position

A career in Government and Public Sector (G&PS) Operations and Procurement (Ops & Proc) team within the Consulting Practice, will provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that adapts to the quick changing needs of the public sector community while upholding principles of transparency, compliance and efficiency. The Operations & Procurement team will provide you with the opportunity to help government and public sector organizations with their business transformation initiatives, bridging the gap between business and technology. We focus on a series of service offerings such as: -Digital and operations transformations: Enabling digital and operations transformations’ design and execution. -Service delivery and program excellence: Aligning our clients’ services and programs to strategy to deliver performance and outcomes. -Productivity and operations optimization: Unlocking efficiencies, including clearing existing process bottlenecks leading to enhanced productivity, and optimizing costs effectively aligning resources to strategy. By providing tailored expertise and solutions, our consultants play a pivotal role in driving positive change within organizations to improve services provided to citizens.

Requirements

3-5 years' experience with project-based work in the public sector OR exposure to a consulting environment
Experience in supporting large, complex system related implementations (e.g. SaaS, HCM, ERP implementation)
Experience taking ownership of quality management for team members’ work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to produce high quality deliverables that create sustainable value.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills as well as being open minded to different perspectives and ways of working.
Ability to take ownership over career development.
Ability to translate technical or complicated information into simple language others understand.
Effective leadership and project management skills, including experience delegating and managing work assignments to other team members and clearly communicating expectations and accountability.
Demonstrated experience working in an agile way, including comfortability working in ambiguity and reprioritizing as required.
Ability to mentor and develop other team members through actively seeking opportunities for them to deliver impactful results in a safe environment.
Presentation and report writing skills for client communication.
Deep interest in the government and public sector industry, with at least a fundamental understanding of the different types of government and public sector entities, their structures, policies, and regulations.
Interest in learning about emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive impact in client work as well as work internal to PwC.
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives.
Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and process efficiency

Nice To Haves

PMP, CSM, CBAP, CMC and Six Lean Six Sigma certifications are considered an asset.
Experience and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, process mapping and optimization, efficiency improvement, performance management, market research and analysis, and knowledge of organizational design and transformation are considered a great asset.
Strong data modeling and visualization skills, including knowledge and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, etc., is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Work with other talented PwC professionals on high-profile engagements in a delivery role in a broad range of topics.
Design and execute business transformations, including program and project management and benefits analysis / business case support.
Perform business architecture to inform solution design.
Conduct operational readiness, including impact assessment of legislation / policy on strategy (and vice versa).
Develop performance frameworks and evaluation.
Develop Service Delivery Model (SDM) and conduct options analysis.
Provide program implementation and transition support.
Conduct fit for purpose service / program review and evaluation.
Design Target Operating Model (TOM) and conduct options analysis.
Perform business process design / re-engineering and productivity / cost optimization.
Enhance and foster relationships with clients by actively broadening understanding of their industries and emerging technologies impacting them.
Share knowledge and market insights and PwC points of view.
Bring potential sales / business opportunities to project lead’s attention.
Play a key role in client interactions, understanding their operational challenges, helping to define objectives and strategies, and positioning as a strategic advisor to clients.
Lead and/or support client workshops, facilitation, interviews, and data collection efforts.
Lead small to medium-sized project tasks and teams, ensuring project plans, timelines, and deliverables are met.
Effectively delegate tasks and provide direction and support to more junior team members.
Raise risks and issues as well as mitigation strategies with the project team as they arise.
Demonstrate an increased breadth of experience and knowledge in leveraging tools and techniques for problem solving.
Understand the application of emerging analytical techniques and how they can be used to solve client problems within engagement constraints.
Lead or assist in conducting in-depth data analysis, market research, and benchmarking to develop actionable insights.
Work closely with the client team to assess existing business, pinpointing areas for improvement, and devising strategies for optimization.
Create and present reports and presentations that convey findings, recommendations, and project progress to clients.
Maintain thorough project documentation and ensuring data accuracy and quality throughout.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the firm.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and their impact on clients.
Develop a thorough understanding of technical areas within G&PS Ops & Proc service offerings and establish a strong foundation of knowledge regarding PwC’s available intellectual capital.
Participate in thought leadership to begin to formulate positions on priorities, challenges, and opportunities within government and public industry, a specific sub-sector or across service offerings.
Assist the team in business development activities and supporting internal projects and practice development opportunities in addition to client delivery.
