Digital News Content Producer - Wfsb
About The Position
WFSB is seeking a Digital News Content Producer to support the daily flow of news to the newsroom and ensure appropriate coverage on-air and across the station's digital platforms. The CP gathers meaningful news information from various sources. They also generate story ideas, discern credible news tips, schedule news crews, and take in live feeds. The CP is also responsible for creating content aligned with and enhancing the station's brand. The CP is also responsible for publishing content on multiple digital platforms, OTT, and social media. The CP should have solid news judgment, a sound grasp of online journalism, and a sense of urgency for breaking news. This is a high-pressure, deadline-focused position, which requires a self-starter who is flexible and can multitask.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Solid news judgment.
- A sound grasp of online journalism.
