About The Position

WFSB is seeking a Digital News Content Producer to support the daily flow of news to the newsroom and ensure appropriate coverage on-air and across the station's digital platforms. The CP gathers meaningful news information from various sources. They also generate story ideas, discern credible news tips, schedule news crews, and take in live feeds. The CP is also responsible for creating content aligned with and enhancing the station's brand. The CP is also responsible for publishing content on multiple digital platforms, OTT, and social media.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

Responsibilities

Assists with the daily flow of news to the newsroom for appropriate coverage both on-air and on the station's digital platforms.
Gathers meaningful news information from various sources.
Generates story ideas, discerns credible news tips, schedules news crews, and takes in live feeds.
Creates content that is aligned with and enhances the station brand.
Publishes content on multiple digital platforms, OTT, and social media.
Should have solid news judgment, a sound grasp of online journalism, and a sense of urgency for breaking news.
This is a high-pressure, deadline-focused position, which requires a self-starter who is flexible and can multitask.
