About The Position

The Digital Media Intern is the primary student storyteller for ECU’s Fraternity & Sorority Life community. Working with FSL staff, governing councils, and student leaders, the intern creates digital content, manages social media, and promotes signature programs while building professional marketing and communications skills. The role is intended for students interested in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, design, or student affairs.

Responsibilities

• Create brand-consistent content and captions for FSL’s Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Photograph and film FSL programs, recruitment, service projects, and community events.
• Design graphics, reels, and stories using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Maintain a social media content calendar with FSL staff.
• Track trends and recommend ideas to grow engagement.
• Promote signature events, including Recruitment and Intake, Greek Week, Order of Omega, awards, leadership programs, and philanthropy events.
• Highlight member and chapter achievements in partnership with councils and chapter leaders.
• Help produce newsletters, digital signage, and flyers that follow ECU branding.
• Track analytics and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Attend staff meetings and assist with office projects and events.
