About The Position

The Digital Marketing Specialist leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of UAMS’ social media strategy. The position manages UAMS’ official social media platforms, develops and coordinates content, engages with online audiences, monitors the organization’s digital reputation and uses performance data to improve results. The role also supports paid social media, multimedia content development and other digital marketing initiatives, working closely with the Marketing and Communications teams, clinical departments, colleges, institutes, subject matter experts and vendor partners to support UAMS priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience in social media, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related area; OR a high school diploma/GED plus five years of related experience.
  • Experience managing organizational social media platforms, including content development, publishing, monitoring and performance measurement.
  • Experience creating or editing digital photography, video, graphics or other multimedia content.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, collaboration and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, audience engagement practices and digital communication trends.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when managing public comments, private messages and sensitive online issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar creative tools.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities
