We're looking for an onsite intern to join our team for the 10-week Summer Internship program (May 17 - July 23, 2027) at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you'll support initiatives that connect customers with the products, resources, and services they need to grow their businesses. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing while contributing to meaningful projects that enhance Live Oak's online presence, customer engagement, and brand awareness. You'll work alongside experienced marketing and technology professionals and gain valuable exposure to the tools and strategies that power modern digital marketing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in interpreting data and identifying trends.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Desire to learn about digital marketing, customer engagement, and marketing technology.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework, projects, or prior experience related to digital marketing, analytics, communications, or business.
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts such as SEO, email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing.
- Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, WordPress, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of website technologies, including HTML, CSS, or content management systems.
- Experience analyzing data and presenting findings or recommendations.
- Interest in marketing technology (MarTech), customer experience, and digital banking.
- Previous internship, campus leadership role, or involvement in marketing-related organizations and projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across email, web, social media, and other digital channels.
- Support content creation and updates for websites, landing pages, blogs, and marketing communications.
- Help monitor and analyze campaign performance, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics.
- Assist in developing reports and presentations that communicate marketing results and insights.
- Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to support marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Technology, Product, and Business teams, on various projects.
- Support audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and marketing automation efforts.
- Participate in website quality assurance testing and content reviews to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Help maintain and organize marketing documentation, processes, and best practices.
- Assist with special projects related to digital marketing, customer experience, and marketing technology platforms.
- Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.
- Demonstrate curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
