About The Position

Trans Global Service (TGS) is seeking a hands-on Digital Marketing Coordinator to manage its local SEO efforts. This role will be central to improving the existing TGS website and leading content for a new consumer-focused appliance repair brand. The ideal candidate will be curious about search engine optimization, disciplined in execution, and willing to specialize in the local home services niche. You will manage Google Business Profile listings, create website content, and ensure Google recognizes the company's services and locations.

Requirements

  • College diploma or certificate in digital marketing, communications, or a related field; university degree in marketing or commerce is also welcome.
  • Curiosity about how Google search works.
  • Strong written English: ability to write clearly, concisely, and adjust depending on the context.
  • Ability to collaborate with appliance repair technicians and supervisors to translate their real-world experience into rich content that will drive SEO success.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a content calendar without a lot of hand-holding.
  • Bilingual English and French is a significant asset.
  • Some familiarity with Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, or GA4 is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a home services or appliance repair business.
  • Experience at The Brick, Leon's, or another major appliance or electronic retailer.
  • Knowledge of meta descriptions and H1 tags.

Responsibilities

  • Own and actively manage TGS Google Business Profile (GBP) listings across Canadian markets.
  • Publish regular posts, upload job photos, and collaborate with the LFL/Brick Customer Experience team to ensure timely, on-brand responses to all reviews.
  • Keep business information accurate across all listings: hours, service areas, phone numbers, categories.
  • Review GBP performance regularly, identify what is working, and bring improvement ideas to the table.
  • Write and publish SEO-optimized city pages, appliance service pages, and help-centre articles for a new direct-to-consumer appliance repair brand.
  • Research local search queries and competitor content to identify relevant topics.
  • Follow content briefs and SEO frameworks to produce pages built to rank and drive conversions and repair bookings.
  • Support internal linking across the site.
  • Make copy updates and content refreshes to the live TGS website (transglobalservice.com) as directed.
  • Help identify pages that are stale, thin, or missing entirely.
  • Check Google Search Console regularly for crawl errors, indexing issues, and traffic changes.
  • Flag technical problems or content gaps to TGS leadership and eCommerce/IT as needed.
  • Manage the TGS Facebook page and Instagram account, primarily by repurposing and scheduling content already produced for the website and GBP.
  • Respond to comments and social media reviews in a timely and professional manner.
