About The Position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for working collaboratively to implement social media strategy as developed by the Department leadership. Coordinator provides overall support of the social media platforms to include design and functionality, content development, technology support and customer relationship management.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in journalism, communications, design, marketing or a related area. Relevant education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two years’ experience working with website content and design development.
  • Experience with HTML, Quark, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Interwoven.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with School and System marketing and communications teams to implement design and content updates across Department of School of Medicine websites, ensuring high standards for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Maintain and regularly audit website content to ensure information remains current and accurate.
  • Design and develop new web pages as needed, adhering to established system graphic, editorial, and web standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend external links to enhance website relevance and user experience.
  • Manage and prioritize project requests from departments and multidisciplinary care centers, tracking progress and outcomes.
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders across campus to gather and refine website content.
  • Partner with marketing staff to support promotional initiatives that drive website traffic, including consumer and physician direct mail campaigns.
  • Develop and produce monthly e-newsletters, including content coordination, design, and HTML coding for email campaigns (e.g., newsletters, confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups).
  • Coordinate the collection of email distribution lists and manage audience data in collaboration with data management teams.
  • Monitor and report monthly analytics for digital publications and campaigns.
  • Support the creation, editing, and promotion of consumer-facing video content.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Provide support for broader marketing initiatives and events as needed.
  • Create miscellaneous graphic design assets to support departmental marketing efforts.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of peer websites and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Take photographs at planned functions, residency photos, etc.
