Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or content creation.
  • Experience with the following programs: Canva, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or related email marketing platforms, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Website Content Management Systems, Project management tools (Planner, Monday, Click Up,
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insight into action-oriented recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational, research, writing, editing, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Must be willing to engage regularly with volunteers, donors, partners, and clients.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, media interviews, and occasionally representing Harvest Hope in the community.
  • Commitment to the mission of ending hunger in South Carolina.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Strong design and photography skills preferred, videography is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage digital communications across social media, email marketing, online newsletters, and website platforms.
  • Gather, create, and curate completing content for social media channels and the Harvest Hope website.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on engagement metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Business Manager.
  • Support and execute multi-channel campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and fundraising.
  • Develop and implement a strategic social media plan, including organic content and paid advertising campaigns. Maintain a digital content calendar to ensure consistent, strategic messaging across all platforms.
  • Manage and grow online communities through regular engagement, direct responses, and proactive monitoring.
  • Photograph and film events across the Harvest Hope region to support storytelling and donor engagement.
  • Help manage digital asset libraries (photos, videos, templates, brand materials).
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints and uphold Harvest Hope's mission and guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager, and other department leaders, to create and deliver fundraising, advocacy, and awareness campaigns.
  • Develop, automate, and optimize email marketing campaigns and donor journeys.
  • Conduct regular reporting on campaign performance, digital channel health, and audience growth trends.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to produce timely, accurate, and brand-aligned deliverables.
  • Support crisis communication efforts by providing timely digital updates when needed.
  • Support events in the community as needed. Some travel is required.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the HHFB mission and to fighting to end hunger in South Carolina.
  • Displays a desire to work with culturally diverse populations using a compassionate, collaborative and respectful approach.
  • Supports a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and communicating process and safety improvements.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures, including reporting all unsafe acts and behaviors, safety hazards, incidents, or accidents immediately.
  • Acknowledges that HHFB team members are considered emergency responders and may be called in to perform regular or emergent duties in instances of a federal, state or locally declared emergency.
