This position is responsible for assisting patients in preparation for exams, providing basic instructions for routine procedures, and transporting patients. The role involves using radiology computer systems for requisitions and patient information, organizing and preparing exam rooms, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, the technician will greet patients and visitors, answer phones, schedule appointments, and act as a liaison between physicians and technologists. They will also provide radiology reports and images upon request, manage health information records, and complete necessary documentation. Routine maintenance and quality monitoring of imaging equipment are also part of the duties, along with assisting in the screening and documentation of MRI implants. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate patient care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
