About The Position

Envista Forensics is a global, multidisciplinary forensic consulting firm that partners with insurance and legal professionals to determine the cause, responsibility, and extent of losses involving data, systems, structures, or equipment. The Digital Forensics Analyst conducts forensic examinations and investigations, communicates findings to clients, and may present work as an expert witness. The position includes documenting results in clear, courtroom-ready notes and reports and contributing to marketing Envista’s services. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• EnCE certification or extensive hands-on EnCase experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in computer forensics and information security.
• At least 3 years of experience diagnosing security breaches, firewall issues, or network security issues.
• At least 3 years of software and hardware testing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to small groups or large audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hard drive failure analysis.
• Experience with circuit or mechanical failure analysis.
• Experience working with law firms and insurers.
• Ability to speak a second language.

Responsibilities

• Conduct digital forensic examinations across various media and data sources.
• Use industry-standard tools, including EnCase, to examine and interpret data.
• Research, analyze, and connect information in complex investigations.
• Work directly with clients and help market Envista’s services between casework.
• Document findings in clear, courtroom-ready notes and reports.
• Serve as an expert witness when required.
