About The Position

Envista Forensics is a global, multidisciplinary forensic consulting firm that works with insurance and legal professionals to determine the cause, responsibility, and extent of losses when data, systems, structures, or equipment are affected by catastrophe or litigation. The Digital Forensics Analyst conducts examinations of digital media and information, analyzes investigative evidence, and communicates findings through clear, courtroom-ready documentation. The role also involves working with clients, supporting the marketing of the firm’s services, and potentially serving as an expert witness. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
EnCE certification or deep, hands-on EnCase experience.
At least 3 years of experience in computer forensics and information security.
At least 3 years of experience diagnosing security breaches, firewalls, or network security issues.
At least 3 years of software and hardware testing experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to small or large groups.
Ability to manage multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

Experience with hard drive failure analysis.
Experience with circuit or mechanical failure analysis.
Experience working with law firms and insurers.
Knowledge of a second language.

Responsibilities

Conduct digital forensic examinations across different types of media and data sources.
Use industry-standard tools such as EnCase to examine data.
Research and analyze complex investigative information and connect relevant findings.
Work directly with clients and help market Envista’s services between casework.
Document findings in clear notes and reports suitable for courtroom use.
Serve as an expert witness when required.
