About The Position

The purpose of this position is to assist the College of Fine Arts and Production with digital film related duties. This includes checking digital film and lighting equipment in and out to students, maintaining databases, maintaining computer labs, assisting faculty, certifying students on equipment, and maintaining labs.

Requirements

  • Must be reliable and hardworking.
  • Must be a Digital Film student who has already taken DFP-111.
  • Available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday AM and/or PM for equipment check-in/check-out hours.
  • Able to carry 25 pounds.
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Responsibilities

  • Checking digital film and lighting equipment in and out to students registered in DFP courses.
  • Maintaining database of equipment history as well as student check-out history.
  • Maintaining computers in 46-105 (installing updates, clearing hard drives).
  • Assisting with DFP faculty.
  • Certifying students on specific equipment.
  • Maintaining 46-102 and 46-105 Labs.
