About The Position

UPMC Corporate Marketing is hiring a Digital Engagement Specialist I to join their team. This entry-level role supports Salesforce-based email and SMS programs, assisting with segmentation builds, asset QA, and send execution under guidance. The position is part of the Digital Engagement career ladder, with opportunities for growth. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Information Systems, or equivalent experience, and preferred experience with CRM or digital engagement (internships acceptable), digital media, Salesforce, or analytics. Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable ESP, strong attention to detail, a QA mindset, and a foundational understanding of data privacy and HIPAA-aligned communication practices are also required. The role will work Monday through Friday during standard daylight hours with a hybrid schedule, requiring two days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Build and QA email/SMS assets and schedules in SFMC (templates, audiences, test sends).
  • Execute campaign sends, complete checklists, and document approvals for compliance.
  • Run basic performance pulls (e.g., delivery, open, click, bounce) and surface insights to the team.
  • Maintain process documentation and support intake, ticketing, and calendaring workflows.
