About The Position

Edmonton Airports (YEG) is seeking a highly motivated and creative Digital Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in optimizing and growing our digital presence across web and social media platforms. Reporting to the Digital Engagement Lead, you will help develop, implement, and optimize digital content strategies and campaigns that drive public engagement, enhance customer experience, and strengthen our brand online. This role combines website administration, social media management, digital marketing, analytics, and online community engagement. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in digital communications, social media management, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, including content best practices, audience engagement strategies, paid advertising capabilities, and platform algorithms.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO, audience targeting, paid media, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience using: Google Analytics 4 and social media analytics platforms, WordPress or similar content management systems, Project management software such as Asana, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of website accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA).
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create compelling content tailored to diverse audiences and platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience planning, executing, measuring, and reporting on digital marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
  • Proven ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate airport security clearance.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Implement social media strategies across all organizational platforms.
  • Serve as the organization’s primary social media practitioner.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and optimize content across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
  • Support paid social advertising initiatives and audience targeting strategies.
  • Create, publish, and maintain website content using WordPress.
  • Optimize website architecture, navigation, redirects, and user experience.
  • Develop landing pages and recommend improvements to digital infrastructure.
  • Ensure website content adheres to accessibility and SEO best practices.
  • Execute digital marketing campaigns from planning through reporting.
  • Create engaging digital content aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support audience targeting and paid media initiatives.
  • Track campaign budgets and measure return on investment (ROI).
  • Gather and analyze digital performance data across web and social channels.
  • Configure and maintain analytics tools including Google Analytics 4, Hootsuite, and platform-native reporting tools.
  • Develop dashboards and produce regular performance reports.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and conversion.
  • Monitor, triage, and respond to public comments, messages, reviews, and inquiries across digital platforms.
  • Maintain a professional, responsive, and brand-aligned online presence.
  • Support reputation management initiatives and escalate sensitive issues when required.
