About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Digital Electronics Design Engineer with experience in supporting hardware production, test and delivery to integration to join the team in El Segundo, CA. As part of Boeing's Space & Missile Systems division, Satellite Systems manages the company's major commercial and government satellite and ground programs for communications, national defense and other missions. Satellite Systems leads all aspects of the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of satellites. Our team is currently looking to hire someone into the Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) role, primarily focused on supporting Boeing’s cutting edge phased array technology through production, test and delivery to space vehicle for integration.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
• 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
• 1+ years of experience with flight hardware production, test and delivery
• Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

• 9+ years related engineering experience and demonstrated technical leadership (for Lead, Level 4)
• 14+ years related engineering experience and demonstrated technical leadership (for Senior, Level 5)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with digital electronics
• Experience leading RCCA efforts for highly complex digital and RF systems
• Experience briefing customers and leadership teams on non-conformances, corrective actions and containment

Responsibilities

• Support production of highly complex, digital payload systems as a Responsible Engineering Authority (REA)
• Perform data reviews at key junctures in assembly and test flow
• Identify and drive hardware nonconformances to closure through coordination with test and manufacturing teams
• Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts for payload hardware investigations by identifying and reviewing supplemental test plans
• Contributes to program MRB/FRB with analysis, data, corrective actions and containment solutions
