About The Position

We are seeking a talented Digital Design Strategist to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for creating high-quality, conversion-focused print and digital assets, ensuring brand integrity, and managing marketing collateral within our CRM system. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop campaign concepts and translate complex product information into visually engaging and consumer-friendly designs. A key part of this role involves creating and maintaining templates in Canva for self-service by Loan Officers, as well as managing digital assets and providing training on our CRM platform. You will also analyze usage and engagement metrics to inform future marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional graphic design experience (in-house corporate or agency experience preferred).
  • A professional design portfolio demonstrating clean execution across print, digital media, layouts, and typography.
  • Solid working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Practical experience using Canva, including a strong understanding of setting up templates, locking elements, and organizing shared team folders.
  • Foundational understanding of print specifications (bleeds, margins, CMYK color) and experience delivering files to external print vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills with a patient, helpful approach to supporting sales team with their marketing requests.
  • Strong organizational habits with a disciplined approach to managing file names and digital storage.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing for the mortgage, real estate, or banking industries (with basic understanding of mortgage compliance or co-branding).
  • Experience with marketing platforms or CRMs (Total Expert is a plus, but experience with similar platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce is great).
  • Comfortable pulling basic platform reports (like email open rates or asset download metrics) and organizing the numbers into simple status updates for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality, conversion-focused print and digital assets, including flyers, social media graphics, brochures, direct mail, and event signage.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm overarching campaign concepts and translate strategic messaging into compelling visual communication.
  • Conceptualize fresh and engaging visual styles for company swag, corporate sales rallies, and localized promotional materials.
  • Translate complex mortgage product details into clean, engaging, consumer-friendly visual concepts while maintaining strict compliance and brand alignment.
  • Ensure all marketing collateral across digital, print, and video touchpoints adheres to established corporate brand guidelines.
  • Assist in the ongoing review, updating, and visual optimization of all evergreen corporate marketing assets.
  • Create and maintain compliant, easy-to-use templates within Canva to empower Loan Officers to self-serve while protecting core layout and branding elements.
  • Establish and maintain a clean, logical file architecture and strict naming convention standards for all digital assets, templates, and raw project files in shared storage.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain print, digital, and email templates within Total Expert.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Loan Officer CRM adoption, providing creative system training and gathering feedback to improve automation and personalization.
  • Pull and analyze usage and engagement metrics within Total Expert to track which email, print, and digital materials Loan Officers utilize most, and evaluate which assets drive the highest consumer engagement.
