As a Digital Design and MBD/MBE Engineer, your focus will be on increasing Siemens NX functionality across the Rolls-Royce organization. Your responsibilities will include increasing NX functionality through AI and user acceptance testing (regression testing of NX, NX Copilot, and Teamcenter updates) along with supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Model Based Definition (MBD) systems including PMI Advisor, MBD Logic Editor, NX Checkmate, and other tools. Another key task is to develop CAD geometric feature automations in NX to enhance our local and global NX modeling efficiency and capabilities (Geometry Builder, User Defined Features, Workflow Automation) and work with manufacturing engineering to develop Product Definition Master Models that meet the needs of both design and manufacturing (Bill of Characteristics, Characteristic Numbering, MBE). The Digital Design and MBD/MBE Engineer will own the tactical MBD solution (ANARK, CADIQ, STEP configuration) globally along with the related process and guidance material. This will also include supporting LOTAR, MBD, and NX Open for extending NX functionality. This role plays a vital role in enabling the delivery of our Group Engineering, Technology & Safety (ET&S) Strategy. This role sits within the Digital Design and Industrialization (DD&I) Team. The role includes an opportunity to grow technically alongside driving forward the Product Definition Capability. It also includes owning process documentation for product definition, supporting delivery of the automation workstreams (such as MBD) and Digital Transformation Strategy, enabling future efficiencies within Engineering.
