About The Position

Ochsner Health is seeking a creative and agile PRN short-form social media video creator and editor based in New Orleans to produce engaging, high-quality video content for our social media channels (Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts) on an as-needed basis. The specialist will film and edit compelling vertical videos that highlight our medical staff, patient success stories, health tips and community impact. This role offers high flexibility, with hours fluctuating based on campaign launches, health awareness observances and hospital events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, writing, digital media or related field.
• 3 years of experience in web management and content creation.
• Expertise with video editing programs, including CapCut Pro, Adobe, Canva, and native Instagram, TikTok and Facebook video editing tools
• Knowledge of major social channels including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and their analytics capabilities.
• Experience creating video content for social media channels such as Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Strong writing and editing skills and knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout health system.
• High proficiency with personal computers and corresponding software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Adobe Illustrator), content management systems, social media channels, video editing and Google Analytics.
• Advanced project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use logic to formulate solutions to problems.
• Knowledge of user experience (UX)/user interface (UI) design and search engine optimization to produce accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong people skills; the ability to collaborate with others, take feedback and propose solutions.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of experience in content creation for web, content management systems (CMS), social media and Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Attends events and video shoots in person to film short-form social media videos for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media channels
• Edits short-form videos in accordance with Ochsner Health branding and style
• Drives online content strategy in areas of focus to increase digital engagement and online performance across multiple channels and provide measurable marketing return on investment.
• Collaborates with brand, design and creative media teams on creative ideas and design options, functionality, implementation and content within brand guidelines.
• Collaborates with physicians, clinical experts and departmental stakeholders to develop content strategies and create new content.
• Participates in the strategic planning process for clients
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
