About The Position

WCIV is hiring a creative Social Media/Digital Producer responsible for creating content across all platforms. The producer works closely with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment Desk to generate and write stories and develop stories and videos for the organization’s platforms. The role calls for strong news judgment, accurate and compelling writing, effective time management, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Solid news judgment.

Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to execute news strategies and goals.
Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with non-linear editing tools such as Avid and newsroom systems such as iNews.

Nice To Haves

Previous newsroom experience is preferred.
A journalism degree is preferred.
