Digital Content Producer
About The Position
WKRC has an immediate opening for a creative Digital Content Producer! In this role, you'll play a key part in producing compelling, timely, content for our digital and social platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about news, understands what kind of content resonates with audiences, and can move quickly in a fast-paced newsroom environment. You'll work closely with the Digital Executive Producer and newsroom leaders to create daily digital and social content, identify opportunities to grow our audience, and ensure our coverage reaches viewers across every platform. This position also plays an important role in breaking news coverage.
Requirements
- Solid news judgment
- Compelling and accurate writer
- Ability to multitask and manage time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- At least some previous digital experience at a commercial TV station
- Journalism degree
Responsibilities
- Monitoring scanners
- Answering newsroom calls
- Tracking social media for breaking news
