About The Position

WOIO-WUAB TV (Gray Media Cleveland) is seeking an experienced journalist to join its Digital Content Producer/Assignment Desk Team. This full-time role involves writing and posting news stories to various platforms, including social media; communicating with state and local agencies and viewers; assigning crews to breaking news stories; and coordinating live coverage. WOIO and WUAB are CBS and MYTV affiliates in Cleveland, Ohio, and WTCL is the only Telemundo station in the Cleveland DMA. The stations produce 80.5 hours of live local news, weather, and sports each week and deliver content around the clock on their digital platforms.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a journalism-related field.
• Knowledge of AP style.
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
