About The Position

The Digital Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders accurately and efficiently, collecting payment, and providing courteous service at the Meijer Pickup area. Team members use a dashboard to receive daily workflow, select and verify products throughout the store, bag and stage orders, and maintain food safety and curbside-area standards. The position also involves responding to customer needs, working with store colleagues and leadership, and supporting other tasks as needed. Training is provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
At least 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Process-driven, with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Past cashier experience.
Past online ordering experience.

Responsibilities

Provide service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
Greet customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Use the workflow dashboard to receive and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
