About The Position

The Metals Division is looking for a Digital Category Manager to formalize and execute the Division’s digital strategy to improve product web presence and achieve product digital marketing goals. Increasing web presence, enhancing product descriptions, and adding products to the digital landscape will lead to increased profitability. The Digital Category Manager will have a deep understanding of the Division’s product line and will ensure that the Company’s brands share a consistent look and feel. This will involve cross-functional interactions among the Company’s divisions and marketing team.

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP and/or PDS.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of gross margin calculation and its requirements in our business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time in an efficient manner and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong understanding of the online retail industry.

  • Investigate and determine product digital strategies
  • Plan and implement digital strategies
  • Optimize web content in order to improve SEO
  • Create social media strategies by partnering with the marketing department
  • Analyze effectiveness of digital campaigns
  • Recommend and implement digital products to increase their ROI
  • Set up a list of KPIs to track for each product
  • Engage with bloggers and influencers
  • Prepare and present reports on progress
  • Keep abreast of new trends in the digital space
  • Track online ratings and reviews of products, thereby identifying needed product enhancements
  • Analyze competitive top performing products to identify possible opportunities to gain market share
  • Focus on the end consumer first to ensure products resonate with the target customer
  • Maintain inventory at acceptable levels, as directed by the Division President. Includes the monitoring of forecasts from the sales force and identification of discontinued and overstock quantities on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with CMs within the division and internal departments to ensure timelines are on track and relevant information is provided within a timely matter.
