About The Position

This role involves delivering consultancy and systems engineering projects focused on Digital Building technologies, applications, processes, and standards. The Consultant will represent FPC in all client and partner interactions, maintaining the highest standards of technical and professional performance with unwavering honesty and integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls Engineering, relevant Engineering discipline, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in Digital Buildings and/or IoT technologies, with a proven track record in roles like Consultant, Designer, Project Manager, or Engineer.
Expertise in Digital Building systems design, development, implementation, and multi-system integration.
Strong technical capability with Building Management Systems (BMS), Automation, Lighting Control Systems (LCS), Audio Visual Systems (AV), and controls strategy development.
In-depth knowledge of control protocols, including BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, LON, MBus, DALI, Fox, and SMI.
Ability to produce key system documentation such as system specifications, architecture development, schematic drawings, Description of Operations (DoO), and asset records.
Proficient in IP networking (IPv4/IPv6, switching/routing, DHCP, WiFi, structured cabling) and implementing cybersecurity best practices, system audits, and site surveys.
Excellent skills in stakeholder management, professional document writing, presentation delivery, design team collaboration, and proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Design, delivery, and operation of IoT Systems.
Use of Cloud Platforms (Google, Microsoft, Amazon) and Data Analytics tools.
Design Software such as AutoCAD, BIM, or Visio.
Experience with Construction Projects and Contracting, and Project Methodologies (e.g., RIBA/AIA Stages of Work or international equivalents).
Specialized Systems: Systems Testing & Commissioning, Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD), and Automated Commissioning Systems.

Responsibilities

Deliver consulting and engineering services and projects to clients in accordance with the agreed-upon Proposal, Scope of Work (SoW), and/or Engagement Letter.
Develop and understand customer requirements and business objectives.
Work proactively with FPC, the client, and other stakeholders to meet and deliver these requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with client stakeholders.
Provide expertise and collaborate on Digital Building systems integration, technologies, initiatives, solutions, processes, and standards for FPC and our clients.
Design Digital Building systems and architectures to ensure optimum performance, functionality, and value.
Review existing Digital Building systems architectures and designs, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
Produce required service delivery, technical, and project-related reports.
Identify potential revenue opportunities for the FPC business line.
Communicate these opportunities to FPC management.
Support relevant business development activities as required.
Maintain expertise, knowledge, and comprehensive understanding of industry trends, developments, and initiatives.
Identify, develop, deliver, and support opportunities for continuous improvement within FPC.
Contribute to improving project delivery processes, tools, and frameworks.
Support lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Encourage adoption of best practices and efficient ways of working.
Promote a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Represent FPC professionally in all client and internal interactions.
