About The Position

The Digital Application Engineer enables the digital pre-sales team by providing application expertise and technical customer support throughout complex sales opportunities. Acting as a bridge between Sales, Product Management, Solution Architects, and customers, the role translates customer challenges into value-driven digital solutions. With knowledge of digital applications, aviation X-ray networking, and AI-powered screening technologies, the engineer supports customer engagements, demonstrates solution value, addresses technical concerns, and helps advance opportunities toward successful closure. The role focuses on technical sales enablement and solution consulting, without ownership of product strategy, pricing, architecture, implementation, or commercial opportunities. The position works with Digital Sales Executives and Key Account Managers on digital portfolio proposals and upsell opportunities; leads demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements; and relays customer and market requirements to product teams. It supports technical engagement with strategic accounts and regulators, creates reusable technical playbooks and collateral, contributes technical input to business cases and contract schedules, and maintains technical opportunity records and handover documentation. The role also monitors technology trends and competitor architectures, prioritizes support for strategic aviation pursuits while extending coverage to other markets, and contributes to colleague onboarding and enablement. Technical and commercial activities must follow company policies, ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and governance processes.
