The Digital and Social Media Strategist serves as a vital strategic partner within the WVU Health Sciences Communications and Marketing team, functioning as a high-level storyteller and digital architect. This role is responsible for conceptualizing and executing a sophisticated multi-channel content strategy—spanning professional photography, video production, and dynamic social media narratives—to advance the reputation of schools within WVU Health Sciences and to manage the Chancellor and Executive Dean’s social portfolio. The incumbent must demonstrate a unique dual-competency: the creative agility to produce daily, high-impact branded content and the technical acumen to develop HTML email communications and advanced data analytics. By translating complex institutional successes into measurable digital engagement, the Strategist ensures that all outreach is cohesive, strategically aligned with the University’s mission, and optimized through rigorous analytic reporting to drive future institutional strategy.
