Requirements

  • 3+ years of dedicated experience in digital analytics architecture and implementation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • A solid front-end development background (strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation). 
  • Platform-level mindset: Ability to connect disparate systems and stitch together cross-domain sessions
  • Consultative Approach: Proactively identifies the "why" behind data trends and recommends actionable next steps to improve the customer journey.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), specifically Segment, is an asset.
  • SQL Knowledge: Ability to query data (e.g., BigQuery) to validate tracking accuracy and build advanced reports is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Platform-Level Tag Architecture: Own and maintain our Google Tag Manager (GTM) Master Container and sub-workspaces. Architect complex event tracking across both Traditional (MPA) and Single Page Applications (SPA), ensuring a continuous data story as users move between our public marketing sites (Drupal) and authenticated portals.
  • Hands-on Analytics Development: Act as a hybrid analyst/developer. Write, test, and integrate custom JavaScript, DataLayer pushes, and tracking scripts directly into our codebase to support our Front Office development teams.
  • Data Routing & CDP Strategy: Manage our GA4 ecosystem (Global Rollups and local properties) while helping lay the groundwork for our future data infrastructure, which includes routing our event data into Segment for centralized analytics and ensuring seamless Identity Resolution (stitching user behaviour across logged-out and logged-in states).
  • Cross-Functional Journey Mapping: Serve as the analytics bridge between Business, UX/UI, Front Office Development, Core Data, and AI/ML teams. Insert yourself into the design and dev workflows to define DataLayer requirements and tracking specifications before code is written.
  • Data Visualization & Insights: Translate raw, complex data into automated PowerBI and/or Streamlit dashboards that clearly highlight user journey friction points, conversion bottlenecks, and platform-wide performance for executive stakeholders.
  • Governance & Schema Management: Define and enforce a standardized Tracking Plan and Data Dictionary to ensure consistent naming conventions. Lead the QA process for all new web deployments and ensure 100% compliance with PII security standards.
