About The Position

The Digital ABG Digicon Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining our ABG Digicon machine, ensuring the precise and high-quality finishing of custom labels for our clients. You will oversee key finishing processes, including laminating, foiling, varnishing, and die-cutting, while performing regular machine setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in digital printing and finishing, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality products that meet client specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the printing or packaging industry.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality control, ensuring that all finished products meet specifications and standards.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions during the production process.
Mechanical Aptitude: Proficient in machine setup, operation, and basic maintenance, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
Strong Color Judgment: Ability to identify and differentiate between various shades and hues, ensuring label print quality meets customer specifications.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines efficiently.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, communicating clearly with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and processes, adapting to changes in production demands and specifications.

Responsibilities

Operate the ABG Digicon machine to perform finishing processes such as laminating, foiling, varnishing, die-cutting, and embossing on printed labels.
Set up the Digicon machine according to job specifications, adjusting settings to ensure precise and high-quality output.
Utilize the ERP system to track down the production/downtime of the machine.
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure all labels meet customer specifications and company standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, material jams, or inconsistencies in label production.
Monitor production schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
Collaborate with prepress, HP operators, quality teams, and production teams to ensure a smooth workflow and timely project completion.
Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the process.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.
