About The Position

This is a casual position for a Dietitian. The work schedule varies based on patient needs, with a shift premium of $2.00/hour for weekend work. The standard hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements

• Registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Responsibilities

• Performs the nutrition care process on patients who are at nutrition risk: Assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation
• Provide nutrition counseling to patients, family and caretakers after assessing current lifestyle. Provides follow up, as appropriate, to this counseling (inpatient and outpatient)
• Apply new research, information and concepts to daily work
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and implement patient care and nutrition education
• Perform nutrition related presentations to the community and staff, as needed
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
• Comply with Hospital policies, accreditation requirements and quality assurance initiatives
• Is flexible and available when emergency situations require impromptu staffing arrangements
