About The Position
DaVita is hiring a Registered Dietitian to serve as a vital member of each patient’s core care team in an outpatient setting. The dietitian will analyze lab results and educate patients and their families about appropriate nutrition. The role involves building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and contributing to a supportive team environment. Work may involve flexible scheduling across multiple facilities and travel when needed.
Requirements
- State licensure is required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, possibly across multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
- After hire and training, successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.
Responsibilities
- Analyze patients’ laboratory results.
- Educate patients and their families about nutrition based on their laboratory results.
- Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Contribute to patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
