About The Position

DaVita is hiring a Registered Dietitian to serve as a vital member of each patient’s core care team in an intimate outpatient setting. The role involves analyzing laboratory results and educating patients and their families about appropriate nutrition. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, building personal relationships, and helping patients improve their lives. The dietitian may work flexible schedules across multiple facilities and travel when needed. The position contributes to patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives. The role is subject to state licensure requirements where licensure is available, and successful completion of the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) after hire and training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
State licensure required if licensure is available in the state where the facility is located.
After hire and training, successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Analyze patients’ laboratory results and educate patients and their families about what to eat accordingly.
Build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families in an outpatient setting.
Contribute to patient health through clinical goal-setting and quality improvement initiatives.
Work flexible schedules, potentially at multiple facilities, and travel when needed.
