About The Position

Grow your career with a team passionate about making a difference. Sodexo is hiring a Registered Dietitians (RD) to join our innovative nutrition team at Vail Health in beautiful Vail, Colorado. We have a part-time opportunity available. Vail Health is home to one of the most advanced mountain healthcare systems in the world—offering state-of-the-art care in a breathtaking alpine setting. This role is primarily based at Vail Health Hospital and may also support the Precourt Healing Center (PHC), a newly opened inpatient crisis stabilization behavioral health facility.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Dietitian credential
  • 2 years acute care experience a plus
  • Entry level RD's are welcome to apply that are RD eligible for certification
  • The ability to excel in communication, customer service, and time management
  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment and adapt to changing patient needs
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient care at Precourt Healing Center & Vail Health Hospital, with a schedule of 24 hours week to include rotating weekends, and holiday coverage as needed
  • Assist with educating healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and food service staff
