About The Position

Join a team of dietitians who are passionate about their profession, with patients at the heart of everything we do. Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a full time inpatient role at Bridgeport Hospital, a 400-bed level 2 trauma center and teaching hospital in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport Hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Health System, houses Connecticut’s only burn center.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including clinical documentation.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on inpatient units.
Be well versed in Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), Nutrition Focused Physical Exam (NFPE) and Malnutrition Identification.
Work every 5th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage.
Participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives.
Be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process.
