About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Dietitian Nutritionist to join the clinical nutrition team at Holy Cross Hospital, a community-focused facility on the south side of Chicago, IL, and part of the respected Sinai Chicago health system. Requirements

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Illinois state licensure
• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and service excellence
• Adaptable, organized, and able to take initiative in a fast‑paced hospital environment
• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
• 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centered nutrition care, including comprehensive assessments, medical nutrition therapy, and management of enteral/parenteral nutrition
• Provide evidence‑based nutrition education and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on implementing and monitoring nutrition interventions
• Support departmental quality improvement and regulatory compliance
• Oversee tray accuracy checks, routine safety training, and resolution of patient service concerns
• Assist with patient meal service needs—including phone coverage and meal preparation—as well as additional tasks supporting food service leadership
