About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at OU Medical Center at OU Health, a large teaching facility in Oklahoma City, OK. The position will work full time with benefits and primarily cover general medical surgical units. Additional duties may include flex coverage on other hospital units and rounding with medical teams. The schedule will be Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and occasional holidays. The role requires the ability to creatively problem-solve, work independently with minimal supervision, use good judgment, and work within a self-directed, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills for interacting with a wide variety of individuals and groups, including critical care unit rounding teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) OR Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24.
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • Licensed in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum 7+ months general supervision experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with nutrition support assessments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great education and training skills.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for covering general medical and surgical units.
  • Occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Flex coverage on other hospital units.
  • Rounding with medical teams.
  • Performing comprehensive nutritional evaluations and follow-up.
  • Providing nutrition information to a wide variety of audiences.
