About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a position at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center located in Kalkaska, MI. Kalkaska Memorial is a community non-profit health center that serves the greater Kalkaska County region with a wide variety of care options not often found in a small community. The selected candidate will provide care across acute, subacute and long term care settings. This role is flexible, candidates interested in full time or part time hours are welcome to apply. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus!

Requirements

  • Be a Registered Dietitian (or RD eligible) with licensure in MI and demonstrate a great clinical knowledge base
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills
  • Be experienced with regulatory accreditation and establishing and maintaining standards of care
  • Have a strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Responsibilities

  • Offer compassionate care to patients in the acute, subacute and long term care setting
  • Support ongoing Performance Improvement and Quality Management projects
  • Provide training and education to department staff and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with the food service operations team regarding meal provision and menu management
  • Ensure DOH/State/Federal and company standards are being upheld
