About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a fulltime Dietitian Nutritionist to join our dynamic team at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. This position’s main areas of responsibility will include general surgery, orthopedic, trauma and neurology. This is a great opportunity for a new RD, as well as an experienced RD who is looking for a flexible schedule!

Requirements

Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Louisiana
strong verbal and written communication skills
good time management skills
be a self-starter and a team player
the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
work every 4th weekend rotation providing hospital wide coverage
perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
assist with precepting dietetic interns.
