About The Position
Your nutritional know-how can help patients in your community live happier, healthier lives. Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for Broadlawns Medical Center located in Des Moines, IA. Broadlawns Medical Center has an average census of 110 patients and strives to build a healthy community for everyone. This is a fun position that gets to be involved in a little bit of everything: inpatient and outpatient care, providing guidance to the call center staff and programming the patient menu software. Great work life balance, flexible schedule with potential for some remote work.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed or eligible for license in IA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Be a self-starter and a team player
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatients and outpatients
- Have the opportunity to grow leadership skills, if desired
- Perform quality improvement initiatives
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
- Precept dietetic interns
