About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Dietitian Nutritionist for an inpatient position at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama. This is a 227-bed acute care facility. The role offers a somewhat flexible schedule with the potential for some remote work, and operates Monday-Friday with no on-site weekends. The company provides free lunch and drinks, and offers scrubs or business casual attire with a lab coat, all provided free of charge.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credentials, or eligible for RD certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to be a self-starter and a team player.
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Nice To Haves

• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units.
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays.
• Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.
