About The Position

The Dietetic Assistant works with nutritionists to support patients’ well-being by providing dietary support, delivering nutritional care, and following up with patients. The role communicates patients’ nutritional information appropriately to other health professionals and coordinates meal plans and orders in accordance with prescribed diet requirements and patient preferences.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–3 years of prior experience.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a call center or another healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Coordinate patients’ meal plans with healthcare professionals and nutritionists.
Take patient meal orders by phone and at the bedside.
Assist with meal selections while considering cultural and religious preferences.
Monitor patient meal tickets, reviewing and modifying them as needed to comply with prescribed diet orders.
Process new diets, diet changes, tube feedings, and NPO orders efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
