About The Position
Tonganoxie Terrace is actively hiring a Dietary Cook to prepare meals that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences. The Dietary Cook plays a vital role in food quality, safety, and resident satisfaction. As a Dietary Cook, you will support daily meal production and kitchen operations while ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.
Requirements
- Cooking or food service experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare meals as the Dietary Cook according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
- Ensure meals meet quality, portion, and presentation standards
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols
- Properly handle, store, and label food items
- Assist with kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, and organization
- Support dietary team operations and meal service as needed
