Community Eldercare Services (CES) is looking for a Dietary Cook to join our growing team! Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency required
3-6 months related experience in food preparation or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer service-focused with an outgoing personality
Ability to multi-task and manage detail-oriented tasks
Intermediate computer skills

Nice To Haves

One-year certificate from a college or technical school preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food according to resident diet specifications, menus, and facility procedures
Review menus prior to food preparation and ensure accurate portioning
Direct and assist dietary staff in food preparation, serving, and cleaning
Ensure sanitation of dishes, utensils, work areas, and equipment
Check meal trays for accuracy with diet cards
Maintain proper storage of foods and supplies, ensuring readiness for upcoming meals
Assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies
Review diet changes and adjust menus as necessary
Collaborate with Dietary Manager and team to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen
Perform additional duties as assigned
