About The Position

CareOne at The Highlands is hiring a Dietary Cook in Edison, NJ. This role is responsible for preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures, under the direction of the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services, to ensure quality food service at all times. CareOne believes in making the dining experience both healthy and enjoyable for residents through its signature dining program, which includes personalized menu choices and tableside cooking.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Strong customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Following established policies and procedures.
• Assuring that quality food service is provided at all times as directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services.
