The Cook provides assistance in the daily preparation and delivery of meals and beverages for residents. Cooperative work is an expectation of the job and includes the ability to communicate changes in resident behavior and food intake to the CNA and Charge Nurse. Cooks are responsible for ensuring foods on menu are available through weekly orders to US Foods, local supermarket runs. Cooks ensure that food is defrosted for the following day's menu before leaving their shift by placing meats in the refrigerator.
