About The Position
At Sherman Oaks Hospital, the Dietary Clerk is part of a team committed to quality, compassion, and community. Sherman Oaks Hospital is a 153-bed, not-for-profit acute-care community hospital in Sherman Oaks, California, with more than 500 employees and a range of emergency, specialized medical, surgical, and diagnostic services. Under the direction of the dietitian, the Dietary Clerk performs clinical support functions related to approving therapeutic menu selections and ensuring patient trays are accurate and at appropriate temperatures.
Requirements
- County-specific Food Handlers certification is required upon hire and must be maintained current.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Food Science or Nutrition preferred.
- One year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred.
Responsibilities
- Approve therapeutic menu selections under the direction of the dietitian.
- Ensure patient trays are accurate and at appropriate temperatures.
