About The Position

White Oak of Newberry is seeking multiple part-time cooks and aides for its Dietary department. The role supports meal preparation and service, dishwashing, nourishment delivery, and cleaning while following safe food-handling and sanitation procedures. Employees are expected to follow facility and Dietary Department policies, maintain good personal hygiene, wear a hairnet that completely covers the hair while in the kitchen, wear a complete uniform including a name tag, and attend scheduled in-service programs. Other related duties may be assigned by the Dietary Manager or Dietary Director.

Responsibilities

Set up the tray line for meals and handle and serve food in accordance with sanitary regulations, with items ready on time.
Prepare juice and special meal items as specified by the production chart and serve them on residents' trays.
Assist with cleaning dishes, glassware, and silverware using the dish machine; pre-soak and scrape items as needed and dispose of waste.
Check wash and rinse temperatures to ensure they are proper.
Put clean, air-dried ware in its proper place.
Prepare and deliver nourishments to the floors.
Perform assigned cleaning responsibilities.
Follow standard procedures for safe and sanitary food handling.
Adhere to facility and Dietary Department personnel policies and procedures.
Maintain good personal hygiene and wear a hairnet and complete uniform, including a name tag.
Attend scheduled in-service programs.
Perform other related duties assigned by the Dietary Manager or Dietary Director.
